To investigate the recovery process of a fault zone after a large earthquake, repeated water injection experiments have been conducted every few years in an 1800-m-long borehole near the Nojima fault since 1997. WebThe observed earthquake motions recorded at the Hitokura Dam during the 1995 Hyogoken-nanbu earthquake shown in Figure 7 were applied for the input motions in this analysis. The maximum amplitudes of input motions are modified according to the magnitude and the epicenter distance as shown in Table 2.
