First of all if it's not retracting look at all the retraction settings. There's one called something like "minimum extrusion before retraction" and "minimum travel before retraction". Webb19 jan. 2024 · Z hop is a feature in Cura that causes the build plate to move down (or the printhead to move up) when the printer performs a retraction. When Z hop is enabled, the nozzle doesn’t directly contact the model while it’s performing a travel move, which can be helpful to prevent blobbing or scratching on the print surface.
WebbSetting the Z-HOP in Simplify 3D To enable this option, click Edit Process Settings and select the Extruder Tab. Make sure that retraction is enabled, then set Retraction Vertical Lift and select the distance you want for the 3D printer nozzle. For example, if you enter 0.5 mm, the nozzle always rises 0.5 mm before moving to a new position.
